Esophageal Studies Lab
Reston Hospital Center is proud home to a state-of-the-art esophageal testing lab. The Comprehensive GI Center motility lab conducts a variety of diagnostic tests to evaluate and diagnose abnormal conditions within the gastrointestinal system. Services provided include:
- Manometry Studies to evaluate motor function and coordination of muscular activity throughout the digestive system.
- 24 Hour pH Reflux monitoring, Bravo pH, and Esophageal pH Impedance to evaluate for acidic and non-acidic reflux.
Through this combination of tests, our gastroenterologists are able to determine the source of a patient’s GERD and create a care plan best suited for the patient.
